Dr hab. inż. Maciej Mrowiec prof. nadzw. PCz
Czestochowa University of Technology
A Faculty of Environmental Engineering graduate at Czestochowa University of Technology. He obtained a PhD in 2003 for a dissertation on Theoretical-experimental Analysis of Hydraulic Functionality of Pipe Retention Reservoir in Rainwater Systems which featured his original designs. He has led two research grants studying the problem of real-time management of sewer flow in sewage systems, which was financed by Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Obtained a doctor habilitatus degree in 2010 in environmental engineering for his dissertation on Effective Sizing and Dynamic Regulation of Sewage Retention Reservoirs. His research covers innovative storage reservoirs construction as well as sizing methods needed to calculate their capacity. His finding have been published in Polish and foreign cited periodicals (e.g. Water Science and Technology) and also presented his findings at the most important international conferences on water and rainwater management (Int. Conference on Urban Drainage, Urban Drainage Modeling, Novatech). He is an author and co-author of pending patents and patent applications on storage reservoirs and infiltration-retention facilities. He has also carried out many analyses and commissioned analyses for companies in water-sewage line of business. Currently, he is the Dean of Faculty of Engineering Environment and Biotechnology (Czestochowa University of Technology).
