A graduate of Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy of Wroc³aw Agricultural University (currently Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences). In 2005 she obtained a technical PhD degree with distinction in environmental engineering at Faculty of Environmental Engineering of Wroclaw University of Technology for her dissertation on Research and Use of Nonwoven Geotextile Fabrics to Counteract Silting-up in Infiltration. Currently, she is researching infiltration of rainwater in ground, rainwater composition on urban areas and developing knowledge on equipment increasing water retention on urban areas, mainly on green roofs. Her scientific interests are also focused around the issue of investment financing in the area ofrainwater management in cities as well as the issue of charges for rainwater and melt water both in Poland and foreign countries. She is the author and co-author of over 80 research papers. She has also been an adviser for numerous Master and Engineer degree dissertations. She is a member of International Water Association (IWA), Association of Water and Land Reclamation Engineers and Technicians and Polish Association Green Roofs, of which she was the chairperson between 2009-2011. She has organised numerous trainings and conferences urban hydrology, rainwater management as well as development and functioning of green roofs in urban areas.
