Carlo De Michele,  is Associate Professor of Hydrology and Water Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano. He got his Ph.D. in Hydraulic Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano in 1997. He is member of European Geosciences Union Society, Italian School of Statistical Hydrology, and member of the Committee on Probability and Statistics in the Physical Sciences C(PS)2 of the Bernoulli Society. Prof. Carlo De Michele is also an editor of Hydrology and Earth System Sciences, Associate Editor of Advances in Water Resources, reviewer for several journals, and advisor to national and international scientific agencies. In 2000-2012 he was an expert member in the National Committee for the qualification to the profession of civil engineer. He is an Expert evaluator for several Agencies: NERC, NASA, Research Foundation – Flanders.
